Project Controls Manager

As project controls manager your role is to actively support one or more project managers by carrying out project management checks on their projects in line with Thales processes and ways of working with tools as defined by bids & project management. You ensure appropriate performance and forecasts to support progress assessments. In line with this, you are proposing improvement steps and build these up. Besides, you manage and report on detailed costs, earned value management, scheduled work and analyze the project when needed. As project controls manager you act as a sparring partner for project managers, work package managers and project management office specialists. Within this role you have direct reporting responsibilities to the team lead project health, control and support.

The main tasks are

• Ensure appropriate quality within project management, governance and reporting; investigate and implement best practices
• Within different systems monitoring and reporting; project continuity, project efficiency, project management baseline, EVM (earned value management) and financial KPI’s.
• Ensure timely reporting of the KPI’s in Primavera, Power BI or equivalent.
• Execute measurements and data analyzes to propose mitigation solutions.
• Investigate the possibilities of new technologies and tools which will provide innovative solutions for PMO

• Completed a bachelor or master;
• Strong planning and delivery orientation;
• Commercial, Financial, Business acumen;
• Pro-active, accurate and solution oriented;
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English;
• Extensive customer and stakeholder management;
• Positive attitude couples with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills;

The Project Management Office (PMO) provides resources, support, knowledge and coaching to the customer and product project management team to ensure a better performance along the project lifecycle. At this moment the PMO department making steps forward to increase the maturity. So the PMO department will beating the rhythm on the project milestones and will serve Thales Naval by providing the expertise, know-how, services and continuously striving to increase the data quality to ensure a better performance along project lifecycle in one predictable way with clear awareness and reliable insight on cost, time and quality.
