Functie omschrijving

You will develop and contribute to interdisciplinary research on the role of responsible artificial intelligence (AI) in mental healthcare. One of the most intriguing questions for both theory and practice in mental health care is “what works when for whom?” AI holds a great promise in answering this question as complex, naturalistic data become more available, like electronic patient files, routine outcome measures, logdata of health technologies, and digital conversations between professionals and clients. It can thereby contribute to everyday clinical practice that aims for datadriven individualized treatments. This asks for a responsible use of AI in the management and analysis of data, the transparency and explainability of the findings and the use of the results and algorithms. It also asks for close collaboration with mental health professionals and clients to achieve meaningful interpretations that can be used in everyday practice. Such responsible AI includes values like privacy, autonomy & safety. You will contribute to our interdisciplinary research domains of resilience, emerging technologies and societal transformations, or health in the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social sciences (BMS).

In addition to research, you will contribute to the education of our students, by coordinating, developing and teaching courses in the Bachelor and Master Programme of Psychology. You will engage in supervision of Bachelor and Master-theses in the Psychology programmes and will supervise PhD-students.
