DEMCON has developed test tooling for several of its production lines. The results of these FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) tools are stored in a database on a central server. Now, DEMCON production would like to perform trend analysis on these results of the FAT tools. A previous intern researched the possibilities and created an initial version of a custom trend analysis tool using C# and ASP.NET. This internship is about adding features to the tool based on the wishes from DEMCON production.
The tooling is actively used in multiple projects. Several improvements are suggested by the project members:
- Trend analysis
DEMCON production has several requirements / wishes for the trend analysis. The student can gather these wishes and research how these can be satisfied. These wishes can be converted into features, which the student can afterwards implement.
- Connectivity to 3rd party applications
DEMCON uses several 3rd party applications, one of the wishes is to add support for these applications. This would allow the FAT results to be combined with other data, e.g. from parts storage, for analysis of batches of parts.
DEMCON is a high-end technology supplier of products and systems, with as focus areas high-tech/medical/industrial/embedded systems. DEMCON is a fast-growing business that supports clients with a wide range of competencies. As a system supplier, DEMCON can meet the entire needs of its clients, from proof of principle, prototype and pre-production to serial production. In more than 20 years, the business has grown to become the DEMCON Group (with around 700 employees in 2020).
