Talented art students from the Netherlands and abroad get the most out of themselves at ArtEZ. Authenticity, passion, determination and perseverance are essential to this. Students are guided by lecturers who have more than earned their spurs in professional practice. The quality of the education can be recognised through its reputation in the professional field, both nationally and internationally.
You will find the ArtEZ Conservatory, the ArtEZ Academy of Pop Music and the AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design in Enschede. The ArtEZ Conservatory and the ArtEZ Academy of Pop Music are located in the centre of Enschede, and they are part of the Nationaal Muziekkwartier (National Music Quarter).
The ArtEZ art academy is located within walking distance of the cultural quarter of Roombeek. This quarter was completely destroyed after a fireworks disaster in 2000. Roombeek has been completely renovated and it is now the figurehead of architecture and urban planning. Many cultural institutions and artists can be found here.
